The Manor Village at Rocky Ridge:

Our mom recently made The Manor Village at Rocky Ridge her new home. Mom was looking for independent living in the NW that also offers an age-in-place option and she found it here. From our first call to schedule a tour, the staff, management, and residents have been very warm, helpful and welcoming. Tracy is exceptional to work with! Her depth of professional knowledge and experience, her caring and patient nature, and her “can do” spirit made Mom’s introduction and move-in feel seamless. Cassidy, and the front reception team, always have a smile and an answer for our questions. The dining room staff are very friendly and considerate and the meals are delicious. Mom, my sister and I have been warmly welcomed by many of the lovely residents. The suites are spacious and have the full kitchen and in-suite laundry that were on Mom’s must have list. The sunroom in each suite is a relaxing space that adds to the coziness. The hallways are wide, bright and feel like a gallery thanks to the beautiful artwork. The calendar of events has something for everyone, every day of the week. Mom was overjoyed to find out that her longtime and beloved yoga teacher, Spring, is teaching classes here! Our family is truly grateful to have found this caring and supportive community for Mom to call home.

It’s been just over 4 weeks since Brian and I moved into the Rocky Ridge Manor Village. It’s amazing how quickly time flies. We have pretty much found a spot for all the things we brought with us and with pictures on the walls, it’s beginning to really feel like home. Moving is not easy especially when downsizing, but it was time. We are glad we made the decision to move here. It is a very warm and welcoming place to live. Everyone including staff and residents are very friendly and helpful. We are enjoying the tasty meals especially not having to prepare them or clean up afterwards. We really enjoy the assigned seating at dinner allowing us to get to know other residents. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get involved in a lot of activities as we still have our house and are currently holding garage sales trying to get rid of “stuff” we have accumulated over the years. Once that comes to an end we hope to get more involved, maybe even playing bridge. All in all, the time we have been here has been very enjoyable and I keep feeling I am on a holiday. Agnes Jossul

After a deep dive into senior supportive residences in Calgary and multiple tours, we chose the Manor Village of Rocky Ridge. Mom moved in late May and the entire process has been exceptional. We were professionally supported by Renee, Sarah, Cassidy and James. The unit we chose was renovated just before mom took it so it is beautiful, clean and quite large. She has lots of room and it is bright and sunny, thanks to the sun room! As a family and as a resident our mom has been treated with respect and care. We have had every question answered and feel free to ask more. Since this place is smaller (in terms of the number of residents) than others, the care is more personal and residents are known by name. Highly recommended. Kim R

The residence offers fantastic programs, and my family has felt truly secure knowing that Mom is not only well cared for but also loved by the staff. As a family member of a new resident, the Team at The Manor Village at Rocky Ridge have been excellent to work with! Renee was so knowledgeable and offered her experience and thoughtful suggestions to help with the transition into the Manor. Wendy in dining helped in facilitating meeting new people. Cassidy and Sarah at front desk are so friendly and helpful. James in maintenance was there on the first day to introduce himself and cover off safety. The residents themselves have been so warm and welcoming. A lovely community of people!

We just moved my Mum into The Manor this past weekend/week. We have had an AMAZING experience with the caring group at the Manor. Renee has helped us immensely from the first time we looked at the Manor right through to following up after Mum moved in Monday. She made magic happen so that the turn-around time was as quick as can be! Thank you Renee! Rachelle, executive director, has over-seen that the transition for Mum has been smooth and has assured us if we need anything we can contact her - so kind and reassuring for us with this big transition. Zakaria, the amazing executive Chef has assured us that Mum’s dietary requirements will absolutely be met and he prepared/catered the most delicious birthday dinner that was “the icing on the cake” for Mum’s special day - it was nothing less than perfect! Thank you Charmaine and Amanda for tending to the details of the dinner for our family as we celebrated her 88th birthday! Sarah, the Wellness director, has been so accommodating and made a special trip to Carewest to appropriately assess and place Mum at the Manor. She is so kind and has comforted me by helping to make appropriate arrangements for someone to check-in with Mum when requested. Cassidy at the front desk - so nice and friendly in person and on the phone! I never worry about calling and bugging anyone as every employee is genuinely kind and caring. We truly could not be more happy with this amazing facility and the extra care and support Mum has needed in transitioning to her new home ❤️. My parents had to find a retirement home in a very short amount of time as my mom was being released from hospital. The staff at the Manor has been amazing in making this fast transition possible. Hailey, Jamie, Cassidy, Sarah, and all of the other staff have been welcoming, accommodating, and exactly what my parents needed to make this transition smooth. The units are beautiful and very gracious, the residents are very cheery and welcoming, and the whole lodge feels like a happy and upbeat place to live. We are very excited to be part of this community, and look forward to my mom and dad having happy months and years there.
