We’re celebrating some amazing Manor Village team members this month, whose commitment and service richly deserves recognition.
Many retirement villages in Scottsdale may say that their staff is like a family, but at The Manor Village, these exceptional team members really are!
Ronda Rosenau, Activity Director
Ronda has been organizing our busy calendar of events for five years now, and we still don’t know where she gets her energy from! As a quick glance at our July calendar shows, Ronda manages to squeeze in so many different events into every single day. From shopping trips to art classes, board games to movie nights, not to mention the special outings to local events. Ronda ensures there is something for Residents to look forward to and be part of each and every day.
On receiving her award, Ronda said:
“I am so thrilled to get this award – I can’t believe it’s five years already! This job really is so enjoyable. One of my favorite parts is booking our wonderful live entertainers, who bring so much music and laughter to our community. Thank you!”
Azra Dzanic, Caregiver
Azra received a five-year service award for her hard work and dedication in caregiving. She demonstrates our core values in all that she does while assisting our valued Residents. She always has a smile on her face and the Residents light up when they see her. She is kind and caring whether it is escorting someone to dinner, chatting while doing their laundry, or assisting them with their activities of daily living.
“I can dance now! I just love my job and I am so happy to be here. Everyone is so special to me.”
Rich Pagel, Assistant Maintenance Coordinator / Volunteer
Rich received a 10-year service award for his hard work and dedication for assisting in our maintenance department. He also volunteers his time one day a week! Rich has been essential in ‘fixing’ things when requested, or when he recognizes that something needs to be done. He helps keep our community running. The Residents all know him well and you will always hear him say when asked, “Of course, let me take a look at that”, and “There is nothing I can’t fix” (which is true!). He takes pride in his work and enjoys being able to assist our Residents and especially enjoys learning from them as they have a lot to teach.
“Thank you! It is a great feeling being recognized. I enjoy being able to provide a high level of quality and care to our Residents in their later years in life. While this is their home, I feel like it is my home too…we are family!.”
Juan Valente, Housekeeping
Juan received a 16-year service award for his hard work and dedication in housekeeping. Juan began his journey with our community as a night building attendant, ensuring that the Residents and the building were safe, secure and clean. Through the years, he became one of our caregivers, dining room servers and dishwasher. For the last five years, he has been assisting the Residents in their home by keeping it clean and tidy.
On receiving his award, Juan said:
“I’m very happy to be working here at The Manors and lucky to be part of this family for the last 16 years. I enjoy the friendship of the senior community and it has also helped me provide for my family. I appreciate the recognition for the work that I do.”
All awards were presented by Nicolle Blais, COO of The Manor Village Life Centers USA & Statesman USA.
“I am so proud of the team here at The Manor Village at Scottsdale. Their dedication, commitment and care are only outshone by their bright smiles and ‘can do’ attitude. Our senior living community really does think of our team as their family – after all, they see us every day in their home! So, I am delighted to recognize their long service and say a big, big thank you on behalf of The Manor Village and our Residents to every one of them.”
